Alex Spainhoward, CFP®, RICP® joined Donaldson Capital Management in May 2019 and serves as Associate Investment Advisor. Alex grew up in the local Evansville, Indiana area, where he graduated from Reitz Memorial High School in 2011. He then spent two years at the University of Southern Indiana before transferring to Western Kentucky University and graduating in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance with dual concentrations in Financial Planning and Financial Management.
In 2016, Alex began his career with Northwestern Mutual as an Associate Financial Representative. Alex helped assist multiple advisors with the creation of financial plans, investment analysis, and client meeting preparation. Over the next three years, Alex advanced to the role of Associate Wealth Management Advisor, where he gained valuable experience in the investment and insurance fields. While at Northwestern Mutual, he obtained his Series 7 and Series 66 investment licenses, as well as his Life and Disability insurance licenses.
In 2019, Alex successfully completed the CFP® Board’s requirements for certification and is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional. Then, in 2021, Alex earned his Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®) designation to help individuals at or near retirement build a plan to meet their retirement income and other financial goals.
Alex and his wife, Ashley, live in Evansville with their energetic Maltipoo, Cayde. In their spare time, they enjoy spending time with family and friends, being active in Orange Theory Fitness, playing golf, watching sports, and going on adventures by traveling to new places.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner™, and federally registered CFP (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
