Brandon Roop, CFP®, CRPS® joined DCM in 2010 and serves as an Investment Advisor and VP of Institutional Services. In addition, Brandon is a member of the Investment Policy Committee, conducting research, analysis, and oversight on certain sectors of the economy. As VP of Institutional Services, he is responsible for the management and development of DCM’s Retirement Plan Services Division and the firm’s Separately Managed Account relationships.
Brandon graduated from Wabash College in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a minor in Spanish. He played four years of football for the Little Giants and in addition to being elected Team Captain, Brandon was named All-Conference Honorable Mention. He credits much of his discipline and work ethic to the extensive training he went through as a collegiate athlete.
After graduation, Brandon joined ACES Power Marketing, based in Carmel, IN. ACES is an energy trading and risk management provider to Energy Cooperatives throughout the country. Entering the quickly evolving natural gas industry in 2006, Brandon’s determination and ability to adapt earned him several opportunities to advance. Purchasing and scheduling several billion cubic feet of natural gas on a dozen different pipelines across the United States and Canada, Brandon learned firsthand how to manage and optimize clients’ asset portfolios. While at ACES, Brandon attended the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, and after joining DCM, he earned his MBA with an emphasis in finance in 2011.
In October, 2013, Brandon successfully completed the CFP Board’s requirements for certification and is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional. Then, in December 2016, he completed the Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistSM professional designation program through the College for Financial Planning to become a CRPS® professional. As a part of this accomplishment, Brandon will be in charge of leading DCM into the significantly important realm of pre-retirement investment management for business owners and their employees.
Brandon and his wife, Leah, live in Newburgh with their daughter, Reagan, and son, Ramsey. They actively participate in many ministries and non-profits, as well as attend Onelife Church in Evansville.
